Wreaths.............for dinner

So, a couple of weeks ago, I made cornflake wreaths, only I put them in a pan and didn't use the red hots. They were so good.

So last night, I made, well not wreaths, but Golden Graham "wreaths", with Marshmallow and cereal and holy crap, they were addictive, I kept picking at them before dinner. Really, I feel that cereal and marshmallows go together like chocolate and peanut butter (Reese's peanut butter cups).

Here's another example: I went to the Amish grocery store in Kalona, yeah, the one where they kinda look down on you, especially if you have on jeans, purple highlights in your hair, and you're on your cell phone as you check out. But anyway, when I was there, I found a whole bag of what I call Lucky without the Charms....it was all colored marshmallows, pink hearts, green clovers, yeah, just like that. I bought some for my regular old, healthy Cheerios, and Wah-La....Cheerio Charms. That just goes to show you that those Amish like to have fun, afterall, they probably wear hot pink, mesh tank tops under those overalls and long dresses.

Here's the recipe I used, from allrecipes.com

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter (1 whole stick)
4 cups miniature marshmallows
1 teaspoon green food coloring (I didn't use this for the golden grahams)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups cornflakes cereal (or any cereal, coco crispies, golden grahams)

Directions
Microwave marshmallows and butter on High for 2 minutes. Stir, then microwave on High for 2 minutes more. Stir.

Add and mix quickly the coloring, extract, then cornflakes. Drop by spoonfuls in clumps on greased wax paper. I actually put this in an 8X8" pan sprayed with Pam, and just started eating them, because, I couldn't help it.
