The Boat

Normally I make it a policy not to blog about Mark, but this one was worth it.

For 20 some years, this boat has been sitting in Mark's back yard, behind the garden. For at least 8 years, I've been telling him to sell this eye sore, since he never uses it and it's just a place to harbor mice, snakes, bugs, poison ivy, who knows what, but nothing I want in my yard.
So finally, I took the law into my own hands.  I ventured down to Snake Alley (that's what I call the weedy area behind the garden) and took a picture of the boat and posted it on the Rockwell Buy/Sell.  I listed it like this: The 60's introduced touchtone telephones, Woodstock, and the 1961, 14ft, Lonestar boat......
It's all about marketing, and wouldn't you know it, almost 4 people were interested?

So the other night, Mark and I took the Landcruiser down to pull that thing out of the marine graveyard it had been resting in.  It took some tire spinning to get it out of there since the flat tires had taken up permanent residence about 6 inches into the ground.
But I'm happy to say that Mark got it out of there with only a tiny bubble of profanity lingering over his head. Not the normal huge bubble that sends me into the house shaking my head at his immaturity.
So now the boat is in the driveway, waiting for a potential buyer to haul it off to its new home.
Hooray ! ! !
